The fastest grid computing engine coupled with
the most advanced flow management system.

Runtime Design Automation was founded in May, 1995 in Alameda, CA. Runtime Design Automation's main offices are now located in Santa Clara, CA. The company is privately held and privately funded.

The innovative technology behind our Flowtracer design flow manager comprises run-time tracing for design management. This technology was initially developed at the University of California at Berkeley between 1989 and 1991; it was extended and tested at Siemens from 1992 to 1995.

Runtime Design Automation was issued U.S. Patent 5,634,056 in May, 1997 on intelligent change propagation.

In December 2000 Runtime Design Automation opened a Research and Development office in Padova, Italy. The Italian group was reabsorbed by the California team in 2005.

Runtime Design Automation provides the leading IC design Flow automation tools, Flowtracer/EDA and Flowtracer/NC, to manage all your design bandwidth - staff, licenses, and CPUs, with a single toolset.

Are your IC design and verification projects drowning in a sea of complexity? Stop managing them with 30-year old technology and move up a level of abstraction to Flowtracer. Flowtracer tracks all the compute jobs in your project, and automatically runs them in the right order, in parallel across your network, with one-click simplicity.

Our customers are typically experiencing a speedup in the execution of each design flow by a factor of 10x to 20x in a variety of application areas including regression testing, test vector design, standard cell library characterization, software builds, HDL based design.
